About HGHA
Female hockey in North America is booming and the Huntsville Girls Hockey Association is proud to be a part of the movement! Having grown from 1 team at conception in 1972, to 13 teams in the 2024/25 season. This includes: 10 House League Teams, U13B Team, U18B Team and a U15 Dual Roster C Team!!!!
The 2025/26 Season will include a U11B Team, U13B Team, U15A/BB Team, U15B Team and a U18B Team along with House League Teams (the number of House League Teams will be updated in late August)
We are also looking forward to having a U22 Tournament Team - If interested in joining please email hgha@hotmail.ca
HGHA is proud to offer hockey programs for girls starting at age 4. At this age (Bumble Bees), players will focus on the development of skating and hockey skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Teams from U9 to U18 will, once again, be playing in the North Simcoe/Muskoka Girls House League. The SMGHL is a travel house league which includes girls teams from Huntsville, Barrie, Orillia, Collingwood and Midland.
House League Teams will play 18 games, have weekly practices and tournaments (one being our Home Tournament!! This season, we will be celebrating our 47th!!).
HGHA is also home to a Competitive Senior Team (OWHA 2016 Provincial 'C' Champs).
